Has anyone attended Hope Pointe? Our Anglican church recently moved out of Tomball and it is too far for us to get as involved as we would like. We were thinking about visiting Hope Pointe. They were very nice in helping our church get on it's feet.

We have attended it a few times. Our daughter and her husband are members there. I love Father Clark and the congregation is a really nice group of people. Our daughter's in-laws are very active with the church. From everything I hear, it is a wonderful place to worship. My daughter's wedding ceremony was performed by Father Clarke, but it was WoodsEdge at that time. Which is now HopePointe's new place.

I'm sure it is even better in their new building!

Ah I posted about Hope Pointe a few weeks ago after finding out that's where Father Clarke was. But I guess you did not see the post...where is it now? The former Wood's Edge building? The new WE building is very close to my house. But I prefer Episcopalian/Anglican.

And to the original poster who said the Anglican church moved out of Tomball. Are you speaking about the old Church of the Good Shepherd (I think that was the name)...did it leave?

I have not attended Episcopal church in many years due to a severe falling out we had with our then priest. But I was thinking the other day that was wrong of me...that I should just find another church. I visited Clarke a few times when he was priest at the little Episcopal church in TW. I don't know what happened there but I think they fired him...maybe something to do about gay priests, not sure. But anyhoo, I really liked him. So please...where is it located?

In the old WoodsEdge building, across from McCullough on Panther Creek.

I'm sorry. I thought I had posted where they located last time you asked. I must have just thought about posting it and didn't actually DO it. :)

Are you talking about Trinity Episcopal?

IIRC, there was a split in Tomball at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and St. Timothy Anglican was formed. They met @ Tomball junior high and then bought a building near Stuebner Airline & Louetta. Lots of folks don't wanna travel that far.

Yes, I was speaking of St. Tim's. We still attend sevices on Sundays, but it is too far for us to be able to run up there for bible studies, youth group, etc. Hope Pointe was wonderful to us when we split from Good Shepherd.

Clark Lowenfield was not fired from Trinity Episcopal Church. He left the Episcopal Church to join with Anglican Mission in America. This action and subsequent actions by other church leaders was a very painful time at Trinity. Everyone has moved on since then, but I find it extremely ironic that Hope Pointe is now in the building that was originally Trinity.

Friends of mine that are members find that ironic as well. From everything I have experienced with the church, it is a great one.
