Shame on me for not looking this movie up before taking the kids. We'd heard it advertised on Radio Disney a couple of times and then a friend called around lunchtime today and wanted us to all see it together.

The preview *before* the movie should have given me a clue, but I thought we'd stick it out since we were there with friends. My kids (8yo & 5yo) haven't seen scary movies (not even Harry Potter) - and this one wasn't so much scary as it was just dark, but my kids were scared nonetheless. They watched the whole thing and didn't cry or anything like that, but when we were in the car and I asked the usual "What was your favorite part?" they answered, "There wasn't one! It was too scary!".

After you told me you were going to the movies, I checked what was out to take mine. When I looked up The Seeker, I just had a feeling my youngest wouldn't like it and I knew my daughter wouldn't be "as" into it, so I chose the Game Plan. When we got to the theater (Grand in Conroe), I asked which they wanted to see and all three said the Game Plan.

Did you see the previews to National Treasure 2 and to Mr. Magorium's Emporium? Both look good. Oh, and the Spiderwyck Chronicles! They all look really good.

They played the previews for Mr. Magorium's Emporium and Spiderwyck - it was Spiderwyck that my 5yo said was too scary! LOL! I should have known then that the movie might not be appropriate for them.
