Let’s take a look at what will happen on Nov. 7 if TCID prevails:
There are presently approximately 40 board members serving The Woodlands residents; local Village boards plus WCA and TWA. Most of these, and I have known many of them for years, will discuss any issue with you day or night. True, you do not get an immediate solution to your problem; but if you are patient you WILL get a solution. I have always for 30 years. Of course, I never give up!!
Nov. 7 these 40 are replaced with current TCID board. DO NOT tell me that the 40 will still be on the boards because while that is technically true THEIR POWER IS GONE.
They must get approval from TCID before they can make ANY DECISION!!
TCID has already moved rapidly and aggressively to assume control that residents have NOT even given them yet. Read the MOUs for an example; they will appoint ALL service board members, etc.
Who will TCID board members answer/listen to?? They will listen to the MONEY that gets them elected. They must now campaign throughout the ENTIRE area of The Woodlands; and to do this they need BIG MONEY. This comes from Developer and Business interests.
The Woodlands residents have always been apathetic/not involved/too busy when it comes to local governance. The consequences of this attitude THIS TIME will be swift and very severely negative. But it will be TOO LATE; the vote cannot be undone.TCID cannot be dissolved!!
