After dd got a hairless rat, the boys wanted a pet as well. They have been saving up for a guinea pig. Dh received an e-mail today from someone at work with a guinea pig and everything that goes with it, for FREE. What great timing!
So, here is another new addition to our family: (Shaggy)

Shaggy is SO cute. I didn't realize guinea pigs had such a personality. He is the sweetest little guy and so full of spunk! I have heard they really need a playmate and we will consider getting another one. But, we want to get into a routine with him first. They require a lot of attention! Fresh fruit and veggies every day, fresh hay, lots of attention, etc...He is just so cool though.

I don't know. I'm guessing a few pounds. I can't believe the amount of hair he has. Hubby and I had him out last night after the kids were in bed. He is so cuddly (Shaggy). (Well, hubby is too...lol)

Very cute! I like the Guinea Pigs with long hair.
How are you managing with the cats and the Guinea?

The guinea pig is in a room they don't go in. So far, they haven't noticed. Same with the hairless rat.
