RIP. When I lived in Watertown, MA, I had Ted Kennedy as a US Senator and Joe Kennedy as my US rep. I know a lot of conservatives revile Ted, but at least Ted had his heart in what he was doing, whether you agreed with him or not.

truth is right, you have to respect a man who truly had his heart in what he was doing. He was consistent about what he supported and left little to no question about how he felt on any subject.
I think the biggest compliment that you can give him is to just look at the true respect he had on both sides of aisle while he was a senator. That says a lot.

Teddy did more for the common man than any other politician in our modern history. While he made mistakes, the good far outweighed the bad.
