Sounds like fun and cheap too! My only experience with Octoberfest was in New Braunsfel; we went after DH got out of service. He wanted to show me what it was like when he was in Germany (Wurtsburg). Not terribly authentic as the germans do it, but fun.

Well, my inlaws called this morning and said they'd heard from friends that went yesterday that it was overpriced and way not worth it. So we just went to their house for beer, rouladen, beer, red cabbage, & beer.
