The Woodlands Township will consider adding three law enforcement positions in 2011, bringing the total of Montgomery County Sheriff's Office staff assigned to the community to 85. Crime has been a growing concern in the community over the last several years, with several violent crimes, such as bank robberies, assaults, robberies and shoottings committed in the area.
